Thanks for visiting our website, Camerons Boer Goats is located 4 miles north of Highway 401 at the Cardinal Exit #730. We started our herd because the grandchildren each wanted a goat for passing, and of course grandma had to have one as well, the first three quickly turned into 12, then we discovered Boer goats. Most of the first 12 are now gone, to be replaced by a herd of over 100 does.
We wanted to have some new bloodlines in the area so after a lot of looking and family discussion, in Feb. of 2009 we decided to purchase 2 yearling bucks from Hill Place Farm in the USA.
Hill Place 8085 (Sparky) is sired by Dowen’s Pipeline’s Sparkplug, Ennobled, all six of his parents and grandparents are Ennobled. His Dam WCQ Lady Cokie is Dow and WCQ Tri Quest Breeding.
Hill Place Rough Rider (Rom) is sired by EDSR Hill Place Rommel, sired by EDSR Gus, Ennobled and 2004 ABGA National Champion Buck.
Our herd is now almost where we want it, of course we are always looking to improve and last month we decided we would add a little more colour (we have several paint does) so we purchased a new buck from Saskatchewan, “Country Log Copper” a Kalahari Red that we will breed to our paint does in the spring.
We feel Camerons Boer Goats is ideally located for our select herd of Full Blood, Percentage, and Commercial Boer Goats to meet the southeastern demand for both market and breeding animals.
We have three objectives in our breeding program:
-Provide market kids to meet the growing demand of the Ottawa – Montreal markets
-Have available high quality percentage does and bucks for those that want to start a herd or as replacement animals:
-Have a select herd of Purebred (Full blood) Boers for those that want to upgrade or show
